Geotextile
Geotextiles are fabrics that have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect and drain when used in combination with soil. Geotextiles are mainly categorized as woven and non-weoven geotextiles. The main tehcnical properties are machanical strength and weight per area. Application areas of geotextiles in civil engineering are; roads, airways, railroads, embankments, retaining walls, reservoirs, channels, dams, coastal engineering and silt fences.
